Specialists of NPO "Kaysant" have developed a new man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) of short range, specifically designed to counter drones.
The mobile unit is equipped with a special "Hermes" communication system, thanks to which the system quickly adapts to changing combat conditions.
The complex received a guidance system based on machine vision. NPO "Kaysant" noted that optimized characteristics and the integration of modern technologies make the complex the most optimal solution for countering unmanned aerial vehicles.
The relatively small weight of 1.2 kg will be a good help for infantry units. The target acquisition range is 500 m, the complex uses VOG-25 as a warhead.
