Russia has established a numerical advantage in tactical nuclear weapons over the United States

The Russian Federation does not deploy warheads anywhere abroad, with the exception of Belarus

Russia has more tactical nuclear warheads than the United States. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Valdai Club.

According to him, the damaging effect of such weapons is more powerful than the bombs dropped by the United States on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

We have more of it [tactical nuclear weapons]. That's true.
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation

The head of state recalled that, unlike the United States, Russia does not deploy tactical nuclear warheads outside the country. The exception is Belarus, on whose territory preparations have begun for the deployment of Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles.

Military experts explained that the capabilities of "Oreshnik" can be compared with tactical nuclear weapons, they allow you to strike within the entire European continent.

The maximum range of "Oreshnik" is 5,500 km. The missile can carry a warhead weighing up to 1.5 tons and reach speeds of up to 10 Mach (about 12.4 thousand km/h). Presumably, none of the existing anti-missile systems in the world is capable of shooting down "Oreshnik".
