Project 22800 ship repelled an air attack by a mock enemy

The small missile ship (MRK) "Burya" of Project 22800, code "Karakurt", hit the launched target missiles with the help of the Pantsir-M anti-aircraft missile and gun complex (ZRPK) during exercises in the Baltic Sea. This was reported in the press service of the Baltic Fleet.

Air targets for the complex were launched from the coast of the Kaliningrad region.

During the execution of practical firing, the targets were hit, which was confirmed by objective control data.

The ship's crew also conducted exercises in electronic warfare (EW), anti-sabotage defense, and damage control.

MRK "Burya" is the second ship of Project 22800 "Karakurt", it was developed at the Central Marine Design Bureau "Almaz". In addition to the Pantsir-M complex, the ship is armed with an AK-176MA. Also, MRKs of this project can carry Russian Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles on board.

In August, three new warships with Kalibr-NK complexes were also accepted into the Russian Navy three new warships.
