Project 22800 ship repelled an air attack by a mock enemy

The small missile ship (MRK) "Burya" of Project 22800, code "Karakurt", hit launched missile targets using the "Pantsir-M" anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRPK) during exercises in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Baltic Fleet.

Air targets for the complex were launched from the coast of the Kaliningrad region.

During the execution of practical firings, the targets were hit, which was confirmed by objective control data.

The ship's crew also conducted exercises in electronic warfare (EW), anti-sabotage defense, and damage control.

MRK "Burya" is the second ship of Project 22800 "Karakurt", developed at the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. In addition to the "Pantsir-M" complex, the ship is armed with an AK-176MA. Also, MRKs of this project can carry Russian Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles on board.

In August, the Russian Navy also accepted three new warships with Kalibr-NK complexes.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian Buk-M2E anti-aircraft missile systems were deployed in Venezuela.
