The State Duma proposed creating an electronic service "Name Change", which will allow citizens to replace all documents with one application without unnecessary bureaucracy. The initiative was sent to the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev.
Currently, when changing a name, a person has to separately contact various departments, pay state fees and spend time on numerous visits. The authors of the initiative believe that this procedure does not correspond to the principles of a modern service state and should be simplified.
According to the deputies' idea, it will be enough to submit one application through the "Gosuslugi" portal or the MFC. After that, the system automatically initiates the replacement of all necessary documents — from passport to driver's license.
The technical base already exists: interdepartmental electronic interaction and digital infrastructure allow automating data exchange.
