Deputy Gorelkin announced the upcoming launch of "Gosuslugi" in the national messenger MAX. According to him, all necessary permits from departments were received two months ago, and closed testing of the integration is nearing completion.
Developers say that by now the integration is almost complete and fully meets all the security requirements for the operation of state information systems.
According to lawyer Alexander Khaminsky, the messenger collects IP addresses, geolocation data, and information about user activity, and its privacy policy allows the transfer of this information to state bodies. End-to-end encryption, unlike WhatsApp or Signal, has not yet been implemented.
Developers say that the protection of citizens' personal data and resistance to hacker attacks are priority tasks for their team. A proactive approach to cybersecurity is applied, which includes constant threat monitoring, bug bounty, code analysis using artificial intelligence, the introduction of anti-fraud technologies, and other measures.
From September 1, 2025, all new smartphones in Russia must have a pre-installed domestic messenger. The project is developing without direct budget funding, but developers can count on preferential loans.
Personally, I doubt that other messengers represented on the Russian market approach security issues at such a serious level. And the fear of losing the market to a national messenger is growing every day. This explains the information activity built on the dissemination of fake news and far-fetched claims.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Max messenger, created by VK, caused discussions due to the collection of user data.
