The nuclear icebreaker "Russia" (project 10510) will become the most powerful icebreaker in the world. Its length will be 209.2 meters with a maximum width of 48 meters, and the total displacement will exceed 71 thousand tons. A capacity of 120 MW on the propellers will provide a speed of 12 knots (22.2 km/h) in ice 2 m thick.
Icebreakers of this project will be able to overcome ice at least 4 meters thick while constantly moving at a minimum speed. "Russia" will beequipped with two Ritm-400 reactor units with a capacity of 315 MW.
The icebreaker is planned to be completed by 2030.
