LOMO JSC, part of the Kalashnikov concern, has completed the development and assembly of a high-precision lens for an optoelectronic complex for remote sensing of the Earth. The new system provides increased spatial resolution, allowing for detailed images of the planet.
High-precision optics allow creating images with detail previously only available to foreign satellites. Such technologies are important for monitoring natural resources, predicting environmental risks, and responding quickly to emergencies.
The manufacture of a unique telescope lens is an important step in the development of domestic optical systems. It increases Russia's potential in space monitoring and Earth observation
The project is being implemented jointly with the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The creation of the lens is fully funded by the concern's own funds.
