МегаФон ускорил интернет в 100 деревнях и сёлах Подмосковья

Mobile Internet speed now reaches 195 Mbps

The Russian operator MegaFon has completed the modernization of the network in the near and far Moscow region. Now residents of 100 villages, settlements and garden associations in the region can use mobile Internet with speeds up to 195 Mbps.

When constructing and upgrading equipment, the company's engineers took into account the terrain and population density. Base stations with high-power antennas supporting MIMO 2×2 technology, which improves signal stability and connection speed, are installed near country roads. Within settlements, the equipment operates in several frequency bands at once, allowing to increase bandwidth without overloading the network.

The MegaFon press service noted that the acceleration of the Internet opens up new opportunities for users. Residents will be able to work remotely comfortably, watch videos in high quality and use modern digital services. Support for Internet of Things (IoT) technologies allows you to control a "smart home", connect sensors and automate household processes. Also, subscribers get access to VoLTE — calls without losing Internet speed.

The modernization covered hundreds of settlements in such districts and cities as Ramenskoye, Odintsovo, Serpukhov, Volokolamsk, Naro-Fominsk, Balashikha, Dmitrov, Domodedovo, Leninsky, Yegoryevsk, Istra, Kashira, Klin, Krasnogorsk, Mozhaisk, Noginsk, Orekhovo-Zuevo, Pavlovsky Posad, Podolsk, Pushkino and others.
