In order for the Northern Sea Route (NSR) to become a stable transport artery, it is necessary to build about 150 vessels for various purposes. This was announced by the Deputy Director General of Rosatom State Corporation and Director of the Arctic Directorate of the Northern Sea Route, Vyacheslav Ruksha.
In order for it to become a transport artery, according to rough estimates, about 100-150 vessels for various tasks are needed, with a displacement of 40-50 thousand tons, with a power of 20-30 megawatts to 50 megawatts.
Ruksha also noted that one of the primary tasks is to transfer cargo owners under the Russian flag.
It is necessary that our beloved cargo owners, especially exporters, consider it their main task to transport their cargo not under foreign flags, but under our national flag.
According to him, if it were not for the ongoing Russian Arctic projects, the NSR would not be able to become a full-fledged transport artery.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Climate Forecast System for the Northern Sea Route is being created by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Transport.
