Rostelecom is developing new solutions to protect the Max messenger and plans to announce them in the near future, said Irina Lebedeva, Vice President of the company for mass-market products, at a press conference at TASS.
According to her, we are talking about several new services that are being created jointly with the owners of Max and the company-customer of the service. The corresponding solutions will be provided and announced in the near future.
The press service of Rostelecom clarified that the new security tools will be focused on users of mobile devices and will initially be available to subscribers of the subsidiary T2. Special attention is paid to protecting the most vulnerable audience — children.
Two-factor authentication has already been implemented in Max. As of September 17, the number of registered users of the service exceeded 35 million people, which emphasizes the need to strengthen security measures.
