Indian authorities are considering purchasing S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) and fifth-generation Su-57 fighters against the backdrop of the successful use of the older version of the S-400 in the conflict with Pakistan, reports the Indian editorial office of the Krasnaya Vesna News Agency.
Chief Marshal of Aviation of India, Amar Preet Singh, during a speech at a meeting of the Air Force Association, spoke about the special role of the S-400 air defense systems in the country's air defense.
The Marshal noted that the Russian air defense systems made it possible to effectively "change the rules of the game." Now New Delhi is considering the possibility of purchasing the latest S-500 Prometheus air defense systems, and a contract for the assembly line of Russian Su-57s is also under consideration.
It seems that the highly successful use of the S-400 has revived India's fading interest in Russian weapons and generally contributed to strengthening ties between Moscow and New Delhi.
The media also reported that Russia offered India topurchase up to 144 Su-57E fighters.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatthe frigate "Admiral Golovko" launched a hypersonic "Zircon" in the Barents Sea guided by Tu-142.
