A pair of Iskander operational-tactical missile systems (OTRK) combat vehicles with ballistic missiles raised to the launch position were spotted on a highway in the Kaliningrad region.
Traffic on the highway was blocked, and the launchers raised one missile each. Each Iskander combat vehicle carries two missiles and is capable of launching them at different targets in a minute.
A command and staff vehicle based on KamAZ is located to the side. This is probably a unit-level training exercise or a training deployment as part of the Zapad exercises. For combat operations, Iskanders choose more secluded locations.
There is also no point in spoiling the road surface. After all, if you launch a missile from a highway, it will be impossible to drive on it afterwards. In any case, until major repairs are carried out.
