The Uralvagonzavod concern (part of Rostec) produces advanced tanks that set the tone for the development of armored vehicles around the world. Other countries regularly copy solutions first developed on Russian machines, the state corporation said.
At one time, French designers compacted the layout and made an automatic loader for the main Leclerc tanks, and the United States equipped the Abrams with dynamic protection that they repeatedly criticized.
Rostec added that gunsmiths in Israel also spied on and applied domestic ideas in active protection systems, manufacturers in China use Russian form factors, noticeable even to the naked eye.
At the same time, the main "secret" remains in the shadows. Russian tanks implement a unique alloy of technical characteristics, technological and production excellence, operational flexibility, ergonomics and adaptability to changing conditions. All this is multiplied by the traditions of domestic design thought, which cannot be copied.
Russian tanks also protected passive armor against kamikaze drones with fiber optic control. The protective dome is capable of withstanding the impact of several dozen UAVs without damage to the armor of the combat vehicle.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the likely base of "Oreshnik" abroad has become known.
