Sukhoi Design Bureau to Develop Eight New Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Creating various types of drones will increase the efficiency of overcoming echeloned air defense systems

Mikhail Strelets, Managing Director of Sukhoi Design Bureau, announced that the company's specialists are developing eight new models of unmanned aerial vehicles at once. These drones will be designed to perform various tasks in the aviation sector.

Today, we have about eight types of different unmanned aerial vehicles in development. For operational-tactical aviation, the key development will be the transition from an aviation complex to an aviation system.

Strelets noted that the development of multifunctional complexes and systems that combine manned, unmanned, and optionally manned elements will increase the efficiency of overcoming echeloned air defense systems and reduce the cost of such operations.
