In August 2025, 4,226 new passenger cars were sold in Belarus, according to the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA). This is 2.7% less than in July and 8% lower than in August 2024. Despite the decrease, the new car market has grown by 16.9% from January to August.
The share of Belarusian-made Belgee cars reached 54.4% in August, an increase of 5.5% compared to August 2024. At the same time, the share of Lada cars imported from Russia decreased by 8%, accounting for 21% of total dealer sales. According to the BAA, Belarusian buyers are increasingly preferring Belgee cars, while demand for Lada is declining.
The overall positive market trend since the beginning of the year is due to the growing interest in locally produced cars. The Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA) continues to monitor sales statistics and notes a steady interest in crossovers, including the Belgee X70 model, which led sales in July 2025.
