"RusHydro" has successfully launched an autonomous hybrid power complex (AHPC) with a capacity of 9.3 MW in the energy-isolated village of Chersky, located in the northeast of Yakutia. This was reported in the press service of the head and government of Yakutia.
Distributed power generation is an integral part of our energy development program. Today we see examples of the real implementation of this program, when the old system - more than 200 kilometers of power lines built in the sixties on wooden poles with a large loss of electricity during transmission - is being replaced by a new modern system. This is the future, especially in the isolated territories of the Russian Federation and, in particular, in the Far East.
"RusHydro" is actively developing local energy in the Far East, paying special attention to Yakutia and Kamchatka. Previously, electricity was supplied to the village via a single 280-kilometer power line from the Chukotka power system, from the Bilibino NPP, which will be decommissioned in 2026.
Chersky is an important logistics transport hub. With the decommissioning of the Bilibino NPP next year, energy companies faced the task of reliable power supply to the village. We must provide electricity not only to residents, but also to the facilities of the local port
Prior to the construction of the power complex, electricity was supplied to the village via a single 280-kilometer power line from the Chukotka power system, from the Bilibino NPP, which will be decommissioned in 2026.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the construction of a new nuclear power plant willbegin in Primorsky Krai in 2026.
