JSC "Reshetnev" has successfully implemented a project to create a conveyor line for assembling spacecraft, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. The new domestic line is designed for assembling satellites weighing up to 300 kilograms.
Serial production of spacecraft opens up new opportunities for the development of the space industry. It not only reduces the cost of creating each device, but also significantly speeds up their production process. This is especially important in the context of growing competition in the global market of space technologies, where speed and efficiency play a key role.
Roscosmos was tasked with establishing conveyor production of satellites. Today, together with you, we were convinced that this task has been completed. Work is already underway to form orders to load this line. I believe that the colleagues have generally coped. This will be a good help in accelerating the implementation of the national project "Space" and launching more satellites for various tasks, including remote sensing of the earth.
The formation of multi-satellite orbital constellations, in turn, expands the range of tasks to be solved. Such constellations can be used to provide global communications, monitor the Earth's surface, navigation and other purposes. Thanks to a larger number of satellites in orbit, the coverage of the territory is improved, the accuracy of data is increased and more reliable operation of the system as a whole is ensured.
