The longliner-processor "Marlin", which is being built at the "Severnaya Verf" USC, has set off for sea trials in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The tests will last about two weeks, during which the delivery team will have to conduct a cycle of checks on the operability of key elements of ship equipment: the main power plant, the technical infrastructure of the ship, including mechanical equipment, electrical circuits, communications and navigation devices. To implement such a large-scale task, factory specialists, representatives of the customer and contracting organizations work together on the "Marlin".
"Marlin" is the second vessel of the MT1112XL project, which "Severnaya Verf" is building for the Northern Fisheries Basin as part of the state program "Quotas for Keels". Vessels of this project carry out fishing with longline fishing, which is considered one of the most environmentally friendly methods, since the soil is not damaged during fishing operations and the habitat of aquatic organisms is not harmed.
Technical characteristics of the longliner "Marlin" of the MT1112XL project:
- Displacement - 2.2 thousand tons.
- Length - 59 m.
- Width - 13 m.
- Navigation autonomy - 45 days.
- Total productivity - 25 tons of finished fish products per day.
- Freezer hold for finished fish products - about 500 tons.
