The crabber "Alexander Sapozhnikov" (project CCa5712LS) was launched at the Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant (OSSRZ) in Petrozavodsk. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The vessel is designed for catching and transporting live crab. Its technical equipment will allow doubling the volume of transported live products, improve its safety performance, and improve seaworthiness necessary for operating in the difficult meteorological conditions of the Okhotsk and Bering Seas.

The project incorporates innovative solutions for the domestic crab fishing industry, including a system for monitoring and maintaining the temperature of seawater, air in tanks and holds. "Alexander Sapozhnikov" is the fourth vessel in the series. It is being built for the company "Russian Crab".
