Belavia CEO Igor Cherginets said that the Belarusian airline is awaiting the start of deliveries of Russian MC-21-310 and SJ-100 aircraft, but there is no information on the exact technical characteristics of the aircraft yet.
He stated that there is not even a date for the start of production yet. The airline does not have accurate technical characteristics of these aircraft - fuel consumption, weight, and so on.
These are very important parameters for future commercial operation. The cost of the aircraft is not fully understood. But we are in contact with the manufacturers, we are working and we very much hope that the production of aircraft will begin in sufficient volume, with good technical and commercial characteristics.
According to him, Belavia, UAC and PJSC Yakovlev signed an agreement of intent for the supply of import-substituted MC-21-310 and Sukhoi Superjet New.
