Sber's smart home has become more convenient thanks to the integration of the GigaChat neural network model. The virtual assistant in Sber smart speakers now understands requests in natural language, performs up to three commands simultaneously, and creates personalized automation scenarios, which increases the comfort of managing the home environment.
GigaChat allows users to communicate with smart speakers in free form. For example, the phrase "Salut, I'm hot" leads to automatic adjustment of the air conditioner or thermostat. The assistant can also execute combined requests, such as "Salut, turn off the light, close the curtains, and tell a story," executing all commands in one request. This makes device management faster and more convenient.
The new feature allows you to create smart home scenarios through dialogue. For example, in response to the phrase "Salut, I woke up," the speaker will offer to open the curtains or turn on the light, and then automatically create the corresponding scenario in the application. Users no longer need to manually configure scenarios for everyday tasks.
The update, implemented in April 2025, completely transferred Sber smart speakers to GigaChat control. The neural network adapts to the individual set of devices in each user's home, which ensures more accurate interaction with the smart home infrastructure.
