Director of FSMTC Shugaev: some relate to aviation topics

In 2025, Russia and India signed several new defense contracts related to aviation topics, said Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC).

India is our strategic partner with a large volume of order portfolio. We have signed several contracts this year, they relate to aviation topics.
Dmitry Shugaev, Director of FSMTC

He added that the Russian side is fulfilling India's requests for urgent deliveries of various types of ammunition. At the same time, he stressed that the agenda is primarily the implementation of the needs of the state defense order.

Nevertheless, given the strategic cooperation, we listen and carefully watch to satisfy, if possible, all those applications that come from the Indian side.

The media reported that India is actively interested in new Russian Su-57 fighters and anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) S-400.
