A solemn ceremony was held in Saratov to open the Higher Military Engineering School of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection (NBC Protection). The educational institution was named after Hero of Russia Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.
The expansion of the network of higher military educational institutions in Russia is being carried out as part of the modernization of the military education and officer training system. This task was set in December 2024 by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov.
