Yaroslavl Shipyard completed the tender for the search of a contractor who could raise the sunken tugboat "Captain Ushakov" of project 23470. For this purpose, a tender application was placed on the RosTender platform. It was closed on August 27. It is likely that the company will soon determine the contractor for the work. At the same time, their terms are unknown.
At the moment, we are studying the market of everyone who can do this. At the same time, these same people must develop a project to raise the vessel. What are the deadlines, no one understands at all yet. And the cost of the work is also unknown.
Preliminary diving inspections did not provide answers to questions about the causes of the flooding. A representative of the Yaroslavl Shipyard emphasized that there were no errors during the work, but the exact cause can only be established and the damage assessed after lifting and inspecting.
As a reminder, the tugboat "Captain Ushakov" was launched in June 2022. In the fall of 2023, it was moored at the Baltic Shipyard for completion; for this, YSZ leased a pier. On August 8, 2025, the vessel listed and partially sank, the preliminary damage is at least 1 million rubles.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident regarding violation of safety rules during construction work. The commissioning of the tugboat has been postponed indefinitely.
