Sun is scorching: powerful flare recorded on August 28

The M1.1 class flare lasted 11 minutes

A flare of the penultimate power class occurred on the Sun on August 28. This was reported at the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG").

At 17:16 Moscow time, an M1.1 flare lasting 11 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range.

Astronomers also recorded more than a hundred spots on one side of the Sun on August 28. The background X-ray radiation of the Sun has exceeded the flare level C for several days. Such spots increase flare energy.
