The Rosatom State Corporation has launched the largest production line for polymer composites in Russia in Saransk (Republic of Mordovia).
The launch of the new line will increase the company's production capacity from 1.2 thousand tons to 3.9 thousand tons of products per year. The new facilities will create processing facilities for pressing, thermoplastic molding, machining and assembly of finished structures.
The product range includes pultrusion profiles (long and durable structures made of composite materials) for the construction of bridges and noise barriers, high-performance cooling tower elements, as well as complex composite products for industry and infrastructure. The project will create more than 300 new jobs.
Polymer products are, in fact, a technology of the future, used in key sectors of the national economy, allow creating new products and contribute to the development of innovative areas of the economy.
It is noted that the republic provides support to the project in the form of tax preferences and the provision of land plots. The volume of Mordovia's product supplies for the needs of the state corporation has increased 3.5 times over the previous year.
The project was implemented jointly with the production cluster of LLC "Center for Polymer Composites", which is part of Rosatom.
