The scooters were pulled out of the water — the violators were fined 30,000 rubles

Three Urent electric scooters were found at the bottom of Lake Baikal, near the city of Slyudyanka (Irkutsk region). The information was published by the Baikal Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office in its Telegram channel.

Urent's partner, an individual entrepreneur, reported that the incident occurred on the night of July 27. The scooters were pulled out of the water. The violators were brought to administrative responsibility — the fine amounted to 30,000 rubles.

Earlier, on July 24, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko advocated for the legislative regulation of the use of electric scooters. According to her, the draft law on fines for violation of the rules for using electric scooters is planned to be considered and adopted in the autumn parliamentary session.
