The Russian automotive industry has taken a significant step towards digitalization with the start of sales of the new Tenet T7 crossover, assembled at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. A key feature of the new product, which is based on the Chinese Chery 7L, is its rich technological equipment, which is uncharacteristic for cars in this price category in the domestic market.
The center of attraction in the cabin is a multimedia system with a curved panel, integrated with two 12.3-inch HD screens. The complex is powered by an advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 automotive processor. As noted in the Tenet press service, this chipset guarantees "instant interface response and launch of all functions in less than 2 seconds." In addition, the crossover is equipped with a 540° surround view system with under-hood projection and proprietary telematics, allowing you to remotely control the climate, monitor the condition of the car and sign up for service.
The technical part is represented by a 150-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed robotic transmission. In the basic Active configuration (2.68 million rubles), the car already offers wireless integration with smartphones, a full "winter" package and six airbags. The Prime version (2.88 million rubles) is complemented by a panoramic roof, contactless trunk opening and an advanced audio system.
