The head of the Rostec State Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, stated that he is ready to personally fly on the first flight of the fully domestic MC-21 aircraft.
Chemezov admitted that he has been flying all his life, since Soviet times, so he is not afraid of airplanes.
I have already flown on the MC-21 and will fly again with pleasure.
MC-21 is a new generation medium-range passenger aircraft. The airliner was developed on the basis of the latest technologies, it is focused on the popular segment of the passenger transportation market.
Currently, the import-substituted MC-21-310 with domestic systems and PD-14 engines has made 19 flights in Zhukovsky near Moscow as part of certification tests, spending 74 hours in the air.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec is ready to start supplying MC-21, SJ-100 and Il-114-300 abroad.
