The Kalashnikov Group (part of Rostec) has equipped the SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drone with domestically produced remote "friend-or-foe" identification equipment.
Test flights confirmed successful signal transmission at a distance of over 40 km from the airfield, significantly exceeding the performance of similar models. The new equipment provides two-way communication between airport control services and aircraft, increasing flight safety.
The wingspan of the SKAT 350 M is 3.2 m, allowing it to perform tasks at different altitudes. In each operational flight, the SKAT 350 M covers a distance of at least 240 km, staying in the air for up to four hours.
Kalashnikov has improved the operational characteristics of the SKAT 350 M UAV's engine nacelle, reducing the effects of electric motor vibration and improving the aircraft's shock-absorbing properties during landing. As a result of the work carried out, the drone's service life has significantly increased.
The SKAT 350 M acts as a target designator for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system.
