USC Recovers 34 Billion Rubles from Finnish Arctech Helsinki

The Russian corporation demanded the return of debts on marine vessel construction projects

The Moscow Arbitration Court has recovered approximately 34.5 billion rubles from the Finnish shipyard Arctech Helsinki Shipyard in a lawsuit filed by the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

The lawsuit to recover debts under loan agreements was registered in court in February 2024. According to the plaintiff's representative, the parties entered into two guarantee agreements of the defendant and five loan agreements, with the last payment from the borrower received in 2022.

The plaintiff clarified that in cooperation with Russian enterprises, the defendant built marine vessels under USC orders, including in St. Petersburg.

The parties agreed to consider disputes arising from loan agreements in the Moscow Arbitration Court. The defendant did not send a representative to the meeting.
