Восемнадцать мне уже: цифровой сервис для подтверждения возраста без паспорта разрабатывают в России

New service may be integrated into the Max messenger

A digital service for age verification when purchasing age-restricted goods is being developed in Russia as an alternative to a passport. This was reported by the Center for Biometric Technologies, the operator of the Unified Biometric System.

A draft government decree dedicated to the service has been published on the regulatory acts portal. To verify age, it is planned to use several state information systems, including the Unified Biometric System and the Unified Identification and Authentication System, as well as the Max messenger. Currently, user path refinement and integration testing are underway.

The service is important for the convenience of citizens and the digitalization of trade: it will allow for safe and quick age verification without the need to show a passport, speeding up purchases and reducing the risk of errors during verification.
