The Mining Division of Rosatom State Corporation has received a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza (Main Department of State Expertise) for the main pipeline project for the Namarukskoye uranium deposit. The project was developed by JSC "VNIPIpromtechnologii," the division's engineering center.
The pipeline will connect the Namarukskoye deposit with the technological acidification unit of the Khiagdinskoye deposit, which is being developed by JSC "Khiagda." Its commissioning will ensure the transportation of production solutions for further processing. The project includes measures to minimize environmental impact, including the protection of aquatic biological resources.
According to Andrey Gladyshev, General Director of JSC "VNIPIpromtechnologii," the project takes into account all operational factors and uses modern technologies.
When creating the project documentation, we took into account all factors affecting the operation of the main pipeline and applied modern technologies to ensure efficiency and safety. The positive conclusion of the Federal Autonomous Institution "Glavgosexpertiza of Russia" confirms the validity of the decisions made.
Anatoly Mikhailov, General Director of JSC "Khiagda," noted that the project's approval is an important step for the development of Rosatom's uranium mining capacities.
Obtaining a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia is a key step contributing to the start of construction and installation works of the primary facility of the Namarukskoye deposit, which is necessary for the further development of Rosatom's uranium mining capabilities.
Rosatom's Mining Division is among the world's largest uranium producers. The main extraction method is in-situ leaching, which accounts for more than 60% of production. In addition to uranium, the division develops deposits of gold, lithium, and rare earth metals.
