«Росатом» доставил первые компоненты станции для нового ветропарка в Кыргызстане

The project will be the first foreign wind farm of the Russian company

The first components for the construction of a 100 MW wind farm have been delivered to Kyrgyzstan. The project is being implemented by the Rosatom State Corporation in the village of Kok-Moynok (Balykchy city, Issyk-Kul region).

Among the delivered elements are nacelles, hubs, generators and towers for the future wind power plant (WPP). This information was presented at the VII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum, which takes place from August 13 to 15. Construction work is scheduled for 2025–2026.

The project will be Rosatom's first foreign wind farm. The implementation is carried out by Novavind Kyrgyzstan LLC, a local division of the state corporation's wind energy division.

The Kyrgyz Republic is among the countries with the greatest potential for renewable energy sources. The construction of a wind power plant will make it possible to use wind energy for the benefit of the residents of our country. The Rosatom project is steadily entering the implementation stage, and we provide our partners with comprehensive support.
Taalaibek Ibraev, Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic

Earlier, in March 2024, Rosatom Renewable Energy and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on the construction of renewable energy facilities with a capacity of up to 1 GW. The wind farm in the Issyk-Kul region is part of this program.

We are ready to apply our accumulated experience in countries that are friendly to us.
Grigory Nazarov, General Director of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC

Rosatom also cooperates with Kyrgyzstan in other energy projects, including small hydropower plants and small nuclear power plants.
