The Russian S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) has demonstrated the greatest efficiency in intercepting Western guided missiles, according to the defense industry complex of the Russian Federation.
According to the source, since the end of 2023, anti-aircraft missile systems have been actively targeting Russian Su-35 and Su-34 fighters.
Over the past year and a half, domestic air defense forces have intercepted almost two dozen Western-made anti-aircraft missiles that attacked Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft, about half of which were missiles from the American Patriot air defense system.
The domestic S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems demonstrate the greatest efficiency in such interceptions.
The S-400 air defense system has been in service with the Russian army since 2007. The anti-aircraft complex is capable of tracking and engaging up to ten targets simultaneously, including missiles, aircraft, and large drones.
