Notifications on the Gosuslugi portal regarding the entry of data into the military registry are related to updating the database, not to conscription or mobilization. This was reported to RBC by the Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov. According to him, the work is aimed at clarifying information, including about citizens who are in the reserve or have not previously been registered.
The deputy explained that the information of those who underwent military service was preserved in the military registration and enlistment offices and entered into the new electronic system. Now their updating is required — for example, when changing professions, obtaining new education or the appearance of diseases. Some data can be confirmed through Gosuslugi, some - in the military registration and enlistment office.
The autumn conscription, which will begin on October 1, will be carried out using both paper and electronic summons. This procedure remains due to insufficient Internet coverage in remote areas and communication restrictions in a number of regions.
