Russia no longer considers itself bound by self-imposed restrictions on the deployment of intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles (INF), the conditions for maintaining the moratorium have disappeared, the Foreign Ministry said.
The diplomatic agency drew attention to the fact that the Russian side is forced to take measures for its own security.
The Russian Foreign Ministry states the disappearance of conditions for maintaining a unilateral moratorium on the deployment of similar weapons and is authorized to declare that the Russian Federation no longer considers itself bound by the corresponding previously adopted self-restrictions.
Now Russia independently determines when, in what quantities and where exactly to deploy ground-based intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles, including the Oreshnik complex capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of delivery of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
