KAMAZ P6 engines will now be used in railway equipment. The first locomotive with such an engine will be the TEM10 shunting locomotive. Its updated version will be presented at the railway transport exhibition in St. Petersburg, which will be held from August 28 to 31.
Production of TEM10 at the Lyudinovo Diesel Locomotive Plant almost ceased due to sanctions. Only 18 such machines were produced. To resume production, it was decided to switch to Russian components. The choice fell on the KAMAZ P6 engine.
The developer of the locomotive, Sinara-Transport Machines, stated that engineers have improved the cooling system, taking into account the experience of operating previous models. The premiere of the updated TEM10 will take place at the end of August.
