The tug-handler, owned by USC "Yantar", was overhauled at the plant of the same name. Following the work, the vessel also received a positive conclusion from the Russian Classification Society.
In the workshops of the enterprise, a comprehensive repair of the vessel was carried out, including the restoration and painting of the hull, the installation of fender protection, the repair of the underwater part in the dock, and the replacement of outdated equipment in the engine room.
Our tug has undergone a major overhaul. All its systems fully ensure the safety of navigation. Now it is back in service
In the engine room of the tugboat "Yantar", the fire extinguishing system was completely replaced. Now, instead of freon, aerosol fire extinguishing is used, which provides increased simplicity and safety of use.
With the freon system, it is necessary to be in the room in case of fire to spray manually. Now everything is done automatically — a portable puck, which is enough to throw into a room with a fire, under the influence of high temperature, it opens itself and extinguishes the fire with gas
The tugboat "Yantar" is fully ready for further work and successfully copes with the tasks. The validity of the survey by the Russian Classification Society has been extended for the next five years, which confirms its compliance with all requirements.
The main purpose of the tug is to move various objects, including buildings, ships and vessels, in the waters of the plant and the seaport of Kaliningrad. To ensure safety on board, there is a foam extinguishing system capable of localizing fires on orders or other objects.
