AvtoVAZ is actively developing digital technologies in its cars. According to Artem Bakhrakh, project director for digital services at the company, a remote engine start system via the Lada Connect application may appear on Lada cars next year.
We really hope to get such a system next year. Improvements will come in stages, and we really want them to be on all models.
Currently, the remote start function is in the final stages of development. Its integration into Lada Connect will allow owners to start the car remotely, which is especially important in the cold season. In addition, AvtoVAZ is working on expanding voice control — in the future, drivers will be able to open the trunk or turn on the lights using voice commands.
Earlier, www1.ru reported on why AvtoVAZ does not produce convertibles: according to Oleg Grunenkov, product director, the production of such models is economically impractical due to the high cost and limited demand.
