AvtoVAZ intends to produce between 20 and 30 thousand Lada Iskra cars by the end of 2025. This data was announced by the company's product director, Oleg Grunenkov, during a test drive of the new model. Despite production capacities allowing for the assembly of up to 150 thousand cars per year, current plans depend on the situation in the Russian car market.
Lada Iskra has become one of AvtoVAZ's key new products this year. Production is established at two sites: in Togliatti and at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. This will allow for flexible adjustment of production depending on demand. Grunenkov emphasized that the company is carefully monitoring market dynamics to avoid overproduction.
The new model will feature modern technological solutions, including an updated multimedia system and improved safety performance. Experts note that Iskra could occupy a niche between Lada Granta and Vesta, offering customers an affordable but more technologically advanced option.
