Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers of the long-range aviation of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia made a planned flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
The duration of the bombers' flight was more than 15 hours. Fighter escort for the aircraft was provided by the crews of the Su-35S and Su-30SM.
During the flight, the crews of long-range aviation aircraft carried out refueling in the air. At certain stages of the route, strategic missile carriers were escorted by fighters from foreign countries.
All flights of the aircraft of the Aerospace Forces of Russia are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace, the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized.
