AvtoVAZ is considering the possibility of switching to a four-day work week from September 29. The decision will be made after analyzing the situation in the automotive market and economic factors, the company said.
The main reasons are the high key rate, tightening of car loan conditions, as well as the growth of imports of foreign cars and price dumping by foreign brands that have stocks of about 400 thousand cars.
At the same time, AvtoVAZ will continue to develop new models and measures to stimulate sales. All social obligations will be fulfilled.
Why this is important: reducing working days may affect the production and supply of cars, which reflects the difficult situation in the Russian market and competition with imports.
