New type of drone is much lighter than carbon fiber

Russia has started producing new FPV drones made of plywood. The drones are assembled using a patented technology, the Ministry of Defense said.

A constructive feature of the "Grach" is that their bodies are made of ordinary plywood. The material is much lighter than ordinary carbon alloy and is impregnated with a special varnish, which makes the UAV impervious to any weather conditions.

"Grach" can take off even in strong winds. Now the developers are working on devices with a radius of action of up to 50 km. In addition, plywood drones are used to combat enemy drones.

The Grach drones are very popular with the military, the Ministry of Defense noted. The plant is capable of producing up to a thousand devices per month.

The cost of the drone depends on its size and quality, while it is lower than the market price by more than 20 thousand rubles.

Earlier www1.ru reported that T-80BVM tanks stopped "flying": they began to be used in a new way.
