Combat vehicle completes state tests

The new Russian Typhoon-Air Defense combat vehicle has successfully completed state tests and has moved into the category of mass-produced products, according to Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of Kupol plant (part of the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern).

One of the main tasks of the Typhoon-Air Defense vehicle is to cover units and military units, including on the march.

The production of Typhoon-Air Defense will not only increase the workload of the enterprise's facilities, but also improve the security and mobility of calculations, thereby bringing great benefits to our armed forces on the battlefield.

The vehicle is equipped with the ability to fire from a machine gun on the move at speeds up to 20 km/h. In order for the detachment to be able to conduct combat operations without leaving the vehicle, a rotating turret with a machine for the Kord machine gun and a hatch for the machine gunner, as well as a hatch for the operator of portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS), were installed on its roof.

Earlier www1.ru reported that MiG-31 fighters used hypersonic Kinzhals for the second time in three days.
