Киберполиция напомнила о «золотом часе» после утечки данных в России

We are talking about the first 60 minutes, when it is possible to prevent subsequent thefts and hacks

The Cyberpolice of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reminded Russians of the critically important "golden hour" after the compromise of personal data. At this time, you can significantly reduce the consequences of the leak — if you take action promptly.

In the event of a leak of bank card data, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends immediately changing passwords, blocking accounts and warning the bank, as well as relatives and colleagues — so that they do not transfer money to hacked details. This will help to avoid theft of funds or registration of a loan on the victim.

If an account on the public services portal is hacked, you should immediately change your password, report it to the support service and contact the police. If you suspect that a phone number has been compromised, you need to contact the operator and re-link accounts to another number.

To protect social networks and messengers, it is important to enable two-factor authentication and remove suspicious devices from the access list. If there are signs of hacking — contact support and warn friends so that they do not fall for the tricks of scammers.
