The assembly of the space head section for launching the Ionosphere-M satellites No. 3 and No. 4 has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. Specialists conducted electrical tests and installed the head section on the Fregat upper stage.
The next step will be docking with the third stage of the Soyuz rocket. After that, the general assembly and formation of the composition for removal will take place.
The launch of the rocket with spacecraft is scheduled for the end of July. After successful insertion into orbit, all four Ionosphere-M satellites will operate in two orbital planes, providing continuous monitoring of "space weather" and the ionosphere. The data will help to better understand the impact of magnetic storms on communication and navigation.
