The Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of the combat work of the T-90M "Breakthrough" tank crew on its Telegram channel.
The video shows that the combat vehicle has received additional protection. This includes a lattice "barbecue", "dreadlocks" made of metal rods or ropes, as well as "Kontakt-1" protection kits even on the hatch.
The product consists of a rigid frame above the turret and hull, as well as steel ropes forming a protective dome. Such structures are designed to protect armored vehicles from kamikaze drone strikes.
In turn, "Kontakt-1" neutralizes the effect of the leading cumulative charge. Thus, the main overall dimensions of the frontal projection of the hull and part of the turret are not damaged even if missiles or drones hit.
