According to the Avtostat agency, Lada Vesta became the best-selling car with an automatic transmission in Russia in the first half of 2025. 25.8 thousand cars of this model were sold, which allowed it to bypass Haval Jolion, which took second place with 23.8 thousand units sold. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max closed the top three with 19.7 thousand cars.
The top ten most popular cars with automatic transmission also included seven Chinese crossovers: Geely Monjaro (13.6 thousand), Changan UNI-S/CS55 Plus (13.5 thousand), Belgee X50 (11.4 thousand), Omoda C5 (10.7 thousand), Haval F7 (9.8 thousand), Chery Tiggo 4 (9.4 thousand) and Haval M6 (7.8 thousand). This confirms the growing popularity of Chinese brands in the Russian market.
In total, from January to June 2025, 368.9 thousand new passenger cars with automatic transmission were sold in Russia, which is 69.5% of the total market volume.
