Fiber Optic "Prince Vandal" Drone Gets Unexpected New Purpose

The drone began to be used as a high-speed communication system

He recalled that the main purpose of the "Vandal" is a kamikaze drone.

One of the memorable cases is the non-trivial, completely unplanned use of the "Prince Vandal" by the developers. By its purpose, it is a kamikaze drone. But there have been several cases when an assault group took a stronghold, threw our drone there without a warhead, removing the media converter from there and sticking an ordinary Wi-Fi router. As a result, the fighters received a gigabit of mobile Internet in a new location.

The FPV drone with control via fiber optic cable "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" was developed at the Ushkuynik RPC in 2024. Thanks to the technology, the drone is practically not affected by electronic warfare equipment.
